I have some sad news.

This upcoming Monday night June 25th will be the last Monday night painting session that I will be hosting. The reasons are many but basically it comes down to not having enough attendees to cover the cost of the session. There have been a few factors that have gone into the decreased attendance. The first and most positive is that Seattle right now has so many session between the different art schools, art stores and meetup groups that there is just to much choice. While of course this is great for artists it makes it hard to rely on a certain amount of people week after week. Another issue is location, the parking rates for 1St and Lenora have increased recently as well as the the fact that the city has increased the hours from 6pm to 8pm which has added between $5 and $7 dollars to the evenings parking.

This will not affect the Saturday session it will go on as normal.

I want to thank all those who have attended the session both artists and models I could not have done it without you. I have learned a lot over the last 13 years and made valuable friendships. I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given I loved every minute of it.

I will be looking to participate in other painting sessions around town as well as investigate ways to start my own somewhere else in the near future.

thanks

Aaron Coberly
